“Milan Fashion Week Round-Up Part 1”

I’m not gonna lie, this have been, so far, the first season which i’m following completely and entirely. Most of Milan showed a lot of bright colors, prints, textures, tailoring and feminism. As example of prints we have the tribal’s at Etro. Raf Simons at Jil Sander, in an specific outfit consisting of a white water color printed t-shirt with matching white ankle skirt with almost the same water color print on it. Oh and how Consuelo Castiglioni at Marni showed, now the trademark of the house, eclectic mix of clashing prints. Another thing that i enjoyed was how Anna Dello Russo styled the Moschino fashion show, making a statement and contradicting the quote “less is more”, that applies here (at the Moschino runway) as Maximalist. Does anyone could be able to hate how Rosella Jardini plays with textures, color and prints?. Her work at both Moschino and Moschino Cheap & Chic is amazing, and since Franco Moschino died (in 1994) and Rosella took place as creative director it’s almost like he never died. Others, that i liked were the tropical flavors at Prada, the banana prints reminded me of Don King Kong (the video game and cartoon of the big monkey) which is cute (quite ironic the comparison i did). And as for Missoni, the trademark print of the house in many colors and shapes, presented in a collection described as: “a trip” by Rosita Missoni. Well enjoy my favorites. I’m already working on the second part of this post. Milan was refreshing. Someday i’ll be there, someday.
